M. Catalina Melo, M.D.
was born in Colombia where she went to medical school at Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud CES. She then came to the United States to do her psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia.
She has dedicated her work to marginalized, immigrant, rural, and underserved communities through several regions of the country. More recently she has been working at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, Navajo Nation.
When not at work, she spends her time with books, nature, or her bunny Arnold.
